When it comes to senior sessions, I love capturing what truly makes you, you. Life constantly changes, and so do we—our hobbies, interests, style, and outlook. So, why not take your senior session to the next level and make it a snapshot of who you are right now? When my cousin Chase reached out for his session, I knew he’d bring his unique vibe with him. His current aesthetic has a muted, abandoned, and isolated feel—think deserted buildings, weathered textures, open fields, and a filmstock look. Although breaking into an abandoned building wasn’t an option, we decided to head to the 1806 Old Log Church in Bedford, PA for the perfect moody backdrop.
The Old Log Church and cemetery have an incredible, almost eerie atmosphere. But to our surprise, a service was underway when we arrived, with a group of Meta Knight church members holding a gathering inside. Though the church is typically open during set hours, we hadn’t anticipated this! After the service, we had just a few minutes inside before closing, so we started with shots outside and then moved indoors to capture every moment we could. And honestly, these photos are among my all-time favorites.
We later headed over to the Bison Corral Gift Shop, where we made the most of golden hour near the barn and in a nearby cornfield. The lighting was perfect, bringing warmth and contrast to the shots. I’m beyond happy with how this session turned out and can’t wait to return to the Old Log Church for more sessions—especially in the fall, when that spooky, Halloween vibe is in full effect
